The stage is set for an electrifying conclusion to the 5th edition of the TPDCo Tourism Quiz Competition, as Mount Airy Primary and Hosanna Preparatory emerge as the top contenders. The grand finale will be broadcast live on Television Jamaica (TVJ) on June 24, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
The journey to the final has been intense and thrilling. In the semi-finals, Hosanna Preparatory secured a decisive victory over Mount St. Joseph with a score of 47-18, while Mount Airy Primary triumphed over Mona Prep, the 2019 champions, in a closely contested match that ended 46-39. This year’s competition saw participation from 32 schools across the island, showcasing the knowledge and enthusiasm of young minds in the realm of tourism. The two finalists, Mount Airy Primary and Hosanna Preparatory, have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, and their final face-off promises to be an unforgettable showdown.
The TPDCo Tourism Quiz is proudly sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board, Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Enhancement Fund, Jamaica Vacations, and the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
