The Tourism Product Development Company Ltd. (TPDCo.) is seeking to identify a qualified, motivated, and results-oriented professional to fill the following position:

 

Project Officer – South Coast

 

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Officer monitors, facilitates, and acts as liaison for projects involving the enhancement and/or development of tourism products.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identifies potential projects leading to development of products.
  • Liaises with project owners on behalf of TPDCo.
  • Execute tasks which derive from facilitation processes.
  • Visits and monitors project sites and reports to Coordinator on a timely basis
  • Liaises with technical experts within TPDCo, including architects, quantity surveyors and product quality officers in the facilitation process.
  • Liaises with funding institutions on behalf of project owners.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

 

  1. Functional/Occupational Competence
  • Knowledge of public sector regulations.
  • Knowledge of project development, analysis and management
  • Knowledge of legislative framework for tourism investment
  • Proficient in the use of computers and applications for data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills in various media

  • Works effectively with other team members to achieve team goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or construction related discipline with at least two (2) years project management experience
  • College Diploma in Construction Management or construction related discipline with at least five (5) years project management experience.
